February Wishlist

Hello Everyone! Firstly I hope you all had a fabulous January, I know I certainly did! If you didnt already know, my birthday is coming up in March so I thought I would share with you guys some things that I have been resisting diving into my pockets to buy,in a kind of birthday/ February wish list!

                          

First on my wishlist are some party outfits, I am going to Blackpool with the girls and a few other parties this month and I desperately need something to wear. These dresses are perfect for a night out! For anyone that wants to know they are both from missguided, a shop I absolutely love for affordable party dresses

Following on a similar photography trend, is this next item. For those of you who have been living in a hole, this is a film camera that prints out your pictures instantly after you take them. This fujifilm one is adorable and isn't bad for a camera at around £79.

Next is makeup, I am in desperate need for a brush cleaner and I have heard great hings about this mac one, it looks like it should be great value as well at only £10 

This is a product that people I know really rave about, the Sleek contour highlight and blush kit, I am in need of all three so this might have to be a cheek purchase as it comes in at around £9.99

11 interesting facts about me 

1. My initials spell LEE, my full name is Lauren Emilly Edmonds 

2. Even though I am 17 I have never had a driving lesson and don't even have my provisional license

3. I did dancing for 9 years before my dancing school closed down, otherwise i would still be doing it now 

4. My favorite artist i have seen live is Katy Perry, she made her concert into a story and it was incredible!

5. I don't have any tattoos but i plan on getting some this year 

6. My favorite color is black and i would say a good 80% of my wardrobe is black 

7. I am currently studying Geography, Business and Media studies in 6th form at school 

8. when I was younger I wanted to be an actress and begged my mum to send me to stage school 

9. I once had over 20 tiny fish in one fish tank, but my mum accidentally killed them by using pond weeds in the tank!

10. I have visited France, German, Luxembourg, America, Cyprus, Tunisia and China.

What is your favorite make and shade of Lipstick?

My favorite make of lipstick at he moment is the Kate Moss and Rimmel lipsticks, and my all time shade is red, i wear it everyday without fail! 

If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?

I would probably go to Australia, see all the sights and visit where my mum was born

What is the worst beauty product you have ever tried out?

I absolutely loath the Dream matte mouse foundation by Maybelline, it is horrendously cakey on my face and really dried out my skin, I will defiantly not be buying it again!

Who are your favorite bloggers?

I have so many favorite bloggers, but i love checking out my friends blogs to see what they are loving, so Amee from theameeblog, Jess from Jessie and Linsey from redvelvetkiss 

What one item of clothing could you never live without?

My black jeans, they go with everything in my wardrobe as it is mostly black, but I also love my tartan scarf to brighten up winter mornings

What is your favorite candle scent?
I haven't purchased any candles  in ages but i love the Black Cherry Yankee Candle 

Twitter or Instagram?

Instagram, I used to be obsessed with twitter but i cant seem to get into to it anymore! I try to instagram every other day, my guilty pleasure! 

What is your all time favorite song?
this would either have to be Nickleback- Rockstar or Paramore- The Only Exception, depending on my mood!
  

If you were a superhero what powers would you want?

I would love to be able to fly, so much quicker than walking or driving and no insurance necessary!

What is your favorite accent?
I absolutely LOVE the Irish accent, especially Irish boys!

Unfortunately for my bank balance, most of my clothes are from Topshop!

January Wishlist

Seen as how it is coming towards the end of January so I have decided to do a wishlist, to spend those last few Christmas pounds and treat my self a little! 

1. I have been crushing on the Naked palettes by Urban Decay for the longest time, last year I caved and bought the Naked 2 palette and now I am SO tempted to buy the others!

 2. Recently I have reading about the Yourtea Tiny Tea tox and have read incredible things about it! (the day i posted this i actually bought some, my willpower = 0)

3. I have been fighting urges to buy a mac lipstick for ages now, so I will probably end up buying one in the end, my all time favorite shade to wear on lips is red, and the shade 'Diva' has been catching my eye recently...

4. This year I have taken up a few forms of exercise, and I am so glad that I did! When I first started HiiT class and running last year i bought a pair of cheap puma running shoes, and whilst I love them they are not what you wold class as 'stylish' a.k.a they are very ugly. Hence, I have included a pair of Nike running shoes.. 

So there we go,  very short january wish list, my wages are gong to disappear VERY quickly this month

Favourite hair care products

Firstly an apology is in order as I have absent from blogging for a week or two now so to make up for it I thought I would share with your guys my favorite hair care products! 

To start I absolutely love the John Frieda frizz ease range, as my hair is naturally dry,course and really curly. The 3 Day straight and the shine serum are my go to products for combating frizz and leaving my hair really smooth 

I also love using hair masks, my favorite at the moment are the treseme ones, the last time I bought them they were on offer in Asda reduced to £3 from £5. They leave my hair really soft and silky whilst keeping it in great condition. Different types of hair masks are obviously for different things so check before you buy!

If you are looking to grow your hair, try the lee stafford hair mask 'for hair that never grows past a certain length', over time it really does help your hair to grow, but if not it still helps to keep your hair looking great! 

Another genius product I have been loving recently is Argan oil, I usually buy it from Avon, but you can buy Argan oil or other related products from most drugstores.

If volume is what your looking for try a volumizing powder, just sprinkle the powder onto your finger tips, rub together and then massage into the roots of your hair for instant volume. I love it for parties when my hair needs more vavavoom.

Merry Christmas

My Favorite Lipsticks

I am a HUGE lover of lipstick so I thought it was about time I share my top five favorites with you all.
The main reason why i love all of these lipsticks is their pigmentation, how long they last on my lips and the overall feel of them, so I wont go into too much detail about that!

Christmas Party Outfit

Hey guys!

Last Saturday I went to a Christmas party with my lovely  friend Amee (http://theameeblog.blogspot.co.uk/) The party was a charity event to raise money for an Alzheimer's charity, and it was super fun! We sold raffle tickets and there was a tombola as well, and we even got to enjoy the disco afterwards.

ANYWAY I though I would share the outfit I wore to the party with you guys, as I am really in the Christmas spirit today! I paired my dress with some sparkle black heels and a statement silver necklace, and on my face I wore a purple my purple smokey eye (see last post for details) and a purple lip! 

As for my hair I curled all of it using a wand ( it took me about an hour because my hair is so thick!) and then brushed it out using my hands, to get a wavy effect, which doesn't show up too well in this picture!

It's that time of year again everyone! My Beauty Essentials

So, I thought it was about time that I did a post on my Beauty essentials!

I didn't actually find it that hard picking out these products as I tend to use products I love a lot and always end up re-buying them.

This is essentially a (really bad) collage of all of my must have beauty favorites
1. Barry-M nail polish in Lychee- this is a really gorgeous nude shade nail polish and it is my all time favorite as it goes with EVERYTHING, and I literally mean everything.
2. Collection lasting perfection concealer- This stuff does not actually budge or crease or anything, it is super high coverage as well, but it blends so perfectly with my skin tone. LOVE.
3. Maybelline color tattoo in on-and-on-bronze- this is a cream eye shadow, that really does what it says on the tin. I just blend it into my lid with my finger and it takes about two seconds!
4. Eyelure eyelashes- Now, I don't use these everyday, I usually just wear them for parties, however I love the range of styles that eyelure do, and the glue that comes with the eyelashes is incredible. This is very bad but I couldn't honestly go to  party without these babies on!
5.Soap and glory, Righteous body butter- I have incredibly dry skin and this stuff works miracles on both my body and my face. I use this as my everyday facial moisturizer and it keeps my face hydrated and soft all day long,oh and it smells AMAZING. Lovely!
6. The Bourjois healthy mix radiance reveal foundation (WOW long name) is a new purchase of mine. Usually I avoid foundation like the plague, I just don't feel like it suits me. HOWEVER, I bought this to use when I fake tan for parties,and i fell in a deep love with Bourjois, you little geniuses. If you are one of these people who cannot get foundation to suit you like me, try this, it gives an AMAZING natural glow, and a really good coverage, AND you still look alive! Result!
7. Maybelline the rocket volume mascara- my favorite drug store brand brought out this clever little mascara that literally leaves no clumps, HALLELUJAH. nuff said.
8. Urban Decay Naked 2 palette- do I even need to explain this amazing pallet, I bow down to the colors of the naked pallet for making my life a million times easier- mismatched smokey eyes are no more. 
9. the MUA brow pencil- Okay, so this brow pencil was honestly a pound and it is incredibly value for money, this is the best brow pencil I have ever used, and it comes with a really handy little brush/smudger thing at the end, YAY

1. Favorite TV show- Thomas the tank engine 

2. According to my grand parents I didn't really have a favourite toy, apparently I had a toy giraffe which I loved- don't judge I was four!

3. favorite commercial- again u can't really remember this one!

5. Weirdest fashion trend- scoobies- I was absolutely rubbish 

6. Favorite collectible- I used to collect the Angelina ballerina magazines with the cute little dresses

7. Favorite beanie baby- I had a really rare sparkly white and silver unicorn that I sadly lost on holiday! 

8. I had about 4 tamagotchi's!

9. My favorite game console was the game boy advance and my favorite games were all of the spyro ones! 

10. Favorite Disney channel original movie, there were so many, I absolutely loved the little mermaid though! 

11. I think I just use to listen to the Disney channel songs in the 90's

13. I loved Hubba bubba chewing gum 

14. My favorite game was connect four, I was an odd child to say the least! 

15. I cannot say I had a favorite McDonalds toy, as my mum didn't use to take me :(

25 Facts About Me

Hello everyone! 

Today I thought I would jump onto the much loved bandwagon and do the
50 Facts About Me tag, I haven't finished it yet!
1. My full name is Lauren Emilly Edmonds- my Mum wanted to call me Ren and my Dad wanted to to call me Laura- this was the compromise 
2. I am 17 years old and my birthday is on the 5th March 1996 
3. I have had the same best friend since I was born (shout out to Amee!) 
4. I have one (horrendously obese) cat called Charlie and two dogs, Bailey and Midge 
5. I am quite short, only 5'4 
6. I am currently studying business studies, media studies and geography at a-level 
7. I am applying to universities at the moment to study (BA) Primary Education (SCARY)
8. My parents divorced when I was 6 and I used to live with my mum until last year, but then I moved in with my dad
9. I have an obsession with taking photos- especially at parties, but have absolutely no desire to be a photographer

11. My favorite past time is watching Disney movies in my bed 
12. I will never write my name with capital letters and it drives all of my friends crazy!
